recently bought a 2006 k9 with under 200 miles on it. recalls were not satisfied by previous owner. is it difficult to inspect regulator for this warped bus bar as discribed in the recall summary. i'd like to try myself before bringing it to dealer as it's no longer covered. thanks very much.

damn, you're makin' me dig deep into this old brain of mine. if you take the bolts lose that hold the VR, it will have printing on the back of it. i think the bad ones had '05 printed on them as part of the part # (i think on the bottom line and the first two digits) and the ones that were ok had '06 on them. don't take this as gospel until somebody else backs me up.
