In my Garage Apartment behind my house, I am redoing the upstairs for my wife to have a office, tearing out walls, adding a fire place and adding central ac/heat. In the garage area I am taking out the 4 barn door style doors and installing 2 insulated roll up doors with 3/4hp electric garage door openers, insulating the walls with 1'' thick foam and adding 2 ducts out of the central a/c unit to climate control the garage.

You gonna love it!

I just finsihed my garage, installed a ceiling, insulated, and ran a few ducts and registers to feed the man land some heat and AC. It is such an improvement. Once I get the flat screen up on the wall, I will never have to go inside the house again........except for dinner. :D

cool, you have a lot of work to do but that will be great when your done, your own man cave above your garage, I wish I had that!!!!

That's sure is a nice project to have. The bathroom already has some characters to it especially a small chandelier above the tub. If it was me, I be staring at that whenever i take a bath thinking "for the love of God, just dont fall in here." lol!!:2thumbs:

Ok, this weekend I put up the 6'' R-30 spun glass insulation in between the 2x8's, and on top of it I put up 4'x8'x1'' thick foam insulation with the silver backing on it and faced the silver outwards to reflect the lighting and increase brightness!!!!! Also had 8 extra 10 extra sheets so I did the ceiling as well which will increase the floor insulation on the upstairs apartment/office.
