I'm getting ready to install my gas tank and the manual says use red loctite on the 2 Fuel Tank Bracket Screws that screw into the frame. I used tap and die to clean up the threads. No one has ever cleaned them. I'm thinking about the next time I will have to pull the fuel tank off. These screws are located where you can't use a brake cleaner or torch on the red loctite to help break loose the screws. There are no torque specs for these 2 socket head head cap screws. Should I go ahead and use the red loctite with just a few drops or go with the Blue loctite?

If there is even a remote possibility of having to remove a bolt again, I wouldn't use red. On the pitbulls, you have to remove the tank to do just about anything between the cylinders, like replace spark plug wires or coil, fix a manifold leak, etc. I would use blue.
