The ignition is on a separate circuit than the EHC, although it utilizes ground and power through the EHC. I doubt that that installing a Crane Hi-4 will solve your problems as it is most probably EHC related. I suspect that when you took it apart to grease it that you got a pin out of place and bent it over or didn't get it in the female and that particular pin is causing your issues. However, part of the low logic system that is the BDM EHC is that grounds are recognized in the EHC circutry as inputs to do something in response. Your cutting the headlight undoubtedly is seen by the EHC as a reason to cut the system's power entirely. There is no way to wire around the EHC, only to completely replace it and that isn't easy or too realistic because of so many issues with it. Check your connector pins thoroughly and pray one is causing the problems. Otherwise, it is internal in the EHC and your only option is to live with it if you can or replace it when you can.

THE "WIRE PLUS" EHC BY-PASS MODULE COSTS $520.00 AND TAKES A FULL DAY TO INSTALL.
THERE IS NO WARRANTY ON THE WIRE PLUS UNIT.
