rebuilding my heads

I have a 05 pitbull. This winter I'm tearing it apart to repaint it. During this time I would like to get my heads rebuilt. Where is the best place to send them to get them rebuilt?

If I were having mine done they would go to John. He does hundreds of them a year and has the equipment and years of knowledge to do them.

Here's the pound[ing] and a half of rebuilding variables...

1. Valve Face: There is this welding effect of cherry red carbon being crushed in between the valve and face. When the valve is pushed off seat, there is a tear or a pull of metal off the face of the valve. There is a coating of the valve, and/or the thickness is there so the valve does not weaken at that area. So to rebuild, no valve is salvaged; ground a new face over it; you man up and reach around for the wallet; [buy new] valves listen to no one on this.

2. Seat Face: There are 3 basic issues to address when it comes to the seat. The dead giveaway is to feel the seat have 1) a sharp edge you can nick your nail with and stop your nail from moving over the head and seat. That means your seat moved up the head. Which now moves 2) the compression lower. Keep the seat with that sink, have it cut for the new valve and there is more compression lost. The spring is feeling all this and is 3) growing in length. This weakens the spring pressure; may float the valve; to popping the keepers out of the retainer. So, due to the seat's face and that mushroom effect of a lost 45° angle; the compression loss; the wobbly seat moving loose in the head; the spring pressure loss; keeping that nail ridge in place; cut the seat and lose compression is; listen to no one on this.

3. Valve Guide: I am not about to rub my hands all fast and tell myself which palm stayed cold is like saying which part did not rub equally worn? So here is the guide being pushed at the high side and a low side so the wear begins to wobble. My guides are pushed out of the head; a new seat is installed; the valves are new; the spring height has a measurement. So, between the new: valve/guide/seat/cut/retainers/keepers, I don't listen to what anyone says I send a head out for a rebuild.
