Rear Wheel Assembly

Hey Everyone,

Took apart my rear wheel assembly to polish it on my 2005 Ridgeback. looking to see if anyone has pics of the actual spacers and how they go on a RSD Ridgeback?? in relation to the 3 different sized spacers, i know the largest one goes on the Pulley side and other two on brake side. That being said there is a flat side on the largest spacer (this go against bearing or frame?) and same for one of the spacers on the brake side? Any pics would help or if someone can please please send me a 2005 service manual i would greatly appreciate it

You should see that two of the three have small "ridges" for lack of a better word that go against the bearings. That being said the skinniest of the three goes between the brake and hub

Thanks ...im noticing that when installed this way the tire is shifted over to the right a bit ...is that correct? As in if i measure the distance from tire edge to center of turn signal on each side they are not even

One hint is to match the hand rubbing left by the fingerprints. In other words, rub both hands together. Which palm stayed cold? So you have this matching wear pattern. One side that is flat may lay better against a machined surface like how a wheel bearing is made. Whereas the frame is not that precision on the inside rail meaning.

So again, you have this frame to spacer rubbing. If you have to go out and buy a jeweler's loop or better yet, a spark plug reading tool, you can sneak up on the wear pattern and learn how to read a plug at the same time.

Run the axle thru the frame and wheel. Spacers are on the floor. Center the wheel in the frame. Who lines up the best if all you did was clean the rim or whatever you did, you did not lose a part, nor add any axle parts.

With that said, parts is parts and it only assembles on way. :2thumbs:
