Rear tires, need long lasting ones , ....

I currently run avon and such a soft rubber it wears bad and very fast.

My rear size is : 250/40x18.

I hear metzier are good, but they don't offer in my size only 240. grrrr

I drive alot and two-up. any suggestions?

Neil.

I too have the 250 rear tire, and I bought Dunlop Elite-3. Happy so far with 4k miles on them and they still look new.

Dunlop elite 3 here also, around 10k miles on them, still got another 5-6k before they wear out.
Only issue is that the rear is a tad bit wider than avon and had to trim it each side, otherwise it would rub the swingarm and belt. (bought the right size, 250/40x18 no doubt)

just did a search on this site in his name never came up I need clarity is he a vendor the registered user does he have a separate website can you be more specific

you can always try going to the "darkside". get about 20-30k and the tires are cheaper.

got 13000 on my avon tires before I changed them and breaks
Really?? none of my last 3 Avons have went past 8k. first 2 12k each, then 8k,6k and maybe 6k again if I'm lucky. The Cobras that replaced the Venoms suck. I'm thinking Metzler this time
