Rear Pulley

Does anyone know if the stock rear pulley is billet? I took mine to a chromer and he is telling me that it is aluminum, but the teeth are steel and it is stamped on there. Anyone know if this is true? I always thought they were billet...

Yes the pulley is billet and the teeth are steel. If you need a new pulley, call Eric. If your just trying to make it shine more, there are plenty of threads on how to do that.

Thank you Mr. Wright! Learn something new everyday. Not trying to shine it up quite yet. The chrome was flaking in the cut outs and just want to clean it up. I appreciate the help!

Will do Mr. Wright. I have to get it back from the chromer along with my other 31 parts... :oldlaugh: Any idea about the breather cover, headlight cup, or signal cups? I stuck a magnet to it and it didn't stick, but told it could be pot metal?

They are an aluminum alloy. I know the recycle place won't let me sell it as aluminum.

Have a friend who's rear pulley was done at Supermax for her Thunder Mountain motorcycle. Approximately two years ago, ZERO problems...
