Rear Master Cylinder Help

i am rebuilding the rear master cylinder and after i pulled the clip ring nothing happened. the spacer is rusted in. any ideas on how to get it out? i fitted a socket in there and tapped it with a hammer, no luck. thanks in advance for the help.

push the piston in( like applying the brakes) and tap around on that washer to see if it will break loose. Flood it with Blaster or WD-40, do a little cleaning, push the piston in and release it letting it slam up against the washer.

Don't drive it into the bore, you will mar up the cylinder walls.

Try to hook it from the back. A small slide hammer would be good.

There is a washer behind the c-clip that can get stuck in the grove the clip sits in. Just wiggle it around a little and the spring pressure should allow the piston to pop out

I ended up heating the back of the MC and pulled the washer out. I replaced the 5/8 cup and the O ring. Bleed and up and running. Thanks for the advice. :cheers: Cant wait till BDPP gets the rebuild kits in.
