Some days my dick is bigger than other days? Wouldn't be the same for MC axle's????I DO agree with you, but he's using the SAME axle he had on the swing arms before....why would that axle be shorter now?
That's what I am about to do...Going to take the left spacer out and see how much the swingarm will accommodate allowing the axle to move right. At this point @Titus I would pull the wheel back off, and put the axle back in without tire and spacers and see what is what....
so 1/4" is good...well that's interesting. I'll pull my k9 Later and checkThis thread had me curious so I checked the Pit. No swing arm. My axle is about .125-.175 on the "edge". I ride hard nearly all the time. Never an issue.....just my .02
Thank you for the reference point, this bike is ridden hard as well. I would be more comfortable with your 1/4" vs the 1/8" I currently have. This thread had me curious so I checked the Pit. So I pulled out the left spacer...I can easily tighten the axle bolt and pull the axle all the way in, resting fully on the shoulder, and the wheel still spins freely. So, I am going have that wide spacer machined down and that may just do it. Wheel still appears aligned and has tire clearance in the fender. Too bad the shop I paid to do this....couldn't.That's what I am about to do...Going to take the left spacer out and see how much the swingarm will accommodate allowing the axle to move right.

@Titus - not to be an ass but you all know I am.... .125=1/8"....and .175 is very close to 11/64" or 3/17" (yes I had to use a calculator....however, no a 1/4th....so 1/8" may seem scary, but @HMAN measured his to that length....This thread had me curious so I checked the Pit. Sometimes I even have to 'prime it'Some days my dick is bigger than other days? Wouldn't be the same for MC axle's????
Mark Penis Tip DOWN? hahaha (see someone's watching) - Just fucking ya buddy
?

My bad, you are correct. I still don't feel good about 700 plus pounds and 100 plus horsepower relying on only that much of a load bearing surface resting on the swingarm. Why make an axle over an inch thick to rest on just the edge? Every other bike I have owned the axle goes all the way thru and out the other side.
I do appreciate that you two both measured your axles...good to have some reference points. I am a bit torn on what to do at this point. My bad, you are correct.
