Rear 250 Tire Question

I was just out in the garage and started in my getting ready to ride even if only a little this year polishing ordeal. I noticed my rear tire which is an Avon is in need of replacing before riding very much at all. I was wondering is there anything better than the Avon out there now. These really didn't seem to last very long. The middle of it is about slick .
Any and all advice is always " Appreciated "

I've been running the Dunlop Elite3 for a few tires now. I like them and seem to get decient miles out of them.

I got over 10,000 on my original Avon, so that's what I put back.
You'll hear all kinds of stories on who does what. It came with an Avon, stick with Avon.

Metzler 260 on my wife's mastiff works good.

Went to the Dunlop Elite 3. Had to shave a bit off the sidewall tho. So far so good tho.

5,000 out of my Avon rear tires, 10,000 on the front, so I think I will stick with Avon.

Yep I am going back with an Avon as well. The front tire looks good , the back tire is just slick in the middle section,, time to be replaced and a great time to take it myself and clean the crap out of the wheel.
