BlackDawg,

Have you ever run the Mean Mother Exhaust system on your bike? If so, how much louder is the LSR 2-1? Also was wondering if you had any heat problems with the new exhaust over heating the paint on your side panel?
I've never tried the MM pipe.

No heat issues with surrounding paint at all.

I contacted RB Racing about doing me a pipe.
They wont build me a pipe like I want it. LOL
I want the LSR 2-1 pipe but my request was to leave off the RB Racing stamp. I hate logos all over my shit. Im still working on getting all the Big Dog logos off my bike.
They told me they would not make the pipe without the logo. Not even if I pay more to not have it on there. LOL
Exactly why I did not buy an Iron Horse or a Titan. Too many fucking logos.
Not to mention they dont have to look.

2 very small rivets hold it on. Could just drill them out then remove the label then put 2 more small rivets back in to fill the holes.

I won't be home until late next week but I understand that my chrome LSR 2-1 pipes have arrived. It's been 3 months to the day since I ordered them. Next step is to verify that it will fit my bike then take it to the local ceramic coating outfit. Welcome to Performance Coatings

Going to have them try to coat the inside of the header pipes to prevent bluing of the chrome. If that don't work then I'll have to order some chrome shields.

They are an eccentric bunch and somewhere they talk about that on their web page. Just to get them to turn my slash as it now is was an ordeal, though after they saw the pics of it on my bike they now agree it looks fine.

Yeah Black,
I was going over the slash on yours with them. I told them I wanted the same slash but with a turn out away from the wheel.
All together I think the price was $625 for pipe and $150 for shields.
Yeah they got bent out of shape when I asked them to not put tag on pipe.
Oh well it might be my deciding factor on purchasing from them.

Bring It!
looks sweet al. How close is the exhaust outlet to the side of the swing arm? My rbracing pipe is real close and discolored the silver paint.

Al, did you get that a/f meter yet?
No not yet, I think I'm going with the one hdlarry turned me on to. This one is a seperate hand held unit that runs on its own power. But I still think I also like the idea of having a meter on permanently so I always know what the mixture is. Either way its going to me around $300 which is why I'm leaning towards the regular diagnostic type meter so I can check other bikes as well. As soon as my insurance company pays me some reimbursement cash I'll order it and keep you posted.

Mines is at least 3 inches away from the swingarm, doesn't look like it will be an issue but my bike is a pretty dark color.

:2thumbs: Black Dawg,
It really look extremely nice! Very indeed. Your bike is sitting on my PC screen. I bought the 2008, black and full chrome, now waiting for it to come to the UK. Meantime, just looking at your picture ....:D
Thanks man, that's cool. You'll love the bike, enjoy!

Old thread but thought I'd revive it since I bought the same LSR pipe as the OP, with the same slash direction. Will have pics once bike is assembled in a few weeks. damn nice quality on this pipe, that is for sure.
