Rattling type grawl from primary

Ok guys, I need some help. I have a rattling type grawl coming from the primary. When it first started, the primary had to be hot before it would start doing it, with it in neutral and clutch out. Now, it pretty much starts doing it when you start up, still with it in neutral. But for the last couple of days, it has started doing it in 1st gear until you shift into 2nd. It was at the dealer twice while on my road trip to Calif. (Mad Dog Motorcycles had it for a month). I've also had it to my dealer here in Tulsa. As far as I know, just about everything in the primary has been changed, or at least checked. ANY IDEAS?????

Could be the input shaft bearing like mine did but it wasnt real loud, you could feel the vibration...

They have replaced the clutch push rod, carrier nut, shims, washers, throwout bearing, bearing clip--SB1065, 1074, 1086, 1090.I just don't know

have you checked the chain tensioner to see if it has come loose?

Yep---all APPEARS to be normal.

compensating (forward) sprocket nut? mine came loose once

But there isn't a compensating nut hoat!

But that is my guess... he better check it and check it FAST before he smokes the charging system!

It's all been checked---I'm really baffled. With it doing it while in 1st gear-it scares me.

F-okie First if you suspect the ratting coming from the primary is. Drain some oil from the trany,primary,then if you can cut open the oil filter.Look for metal here.If a bearing is taking a shit it will show up in the oil that you drain out.

That's just it---as far as everyone can tell--no metal in primary, tranny, and I just changed the oil. Nothing

Maybe the rattling isn't coming from the primary then.Are the plastic fiber washers under the motor mount? Video with sound for us to listen too maybe?

Now that I don't know---I'm waiting(again) for the dealer to have an opening so I can get it back in. I wish Big Dog would just have me bring it to the factory-

The top motormount can sure sound like the primary or a valve noise!!!

Just an update----It's the tranny, I'm not sure what at this point, but it's in the tranny.
