Rattle sound from rear hub????

There is a rattling sound that comes from the rear sprocket area when I accelerate. So I took the rear wheel off to inspect the problem, and I noticed that the spacer in between the two hub bearings had no grease on it and it had a abnormal score on one side of it. I greased it up real good and put it all back together. The sound went away for a little while but it just seemed to come back today. I figured that the scoring came from not having any grease but I guess it's something else. I know my belt is tight to specs. Any info????

I know the scoring is normal or a regular part of these bikes. If you aligned you wheel and belt properly then it should go away. Have you tried belt dressing or some silicone spray on the belt and sprockets. Some people just use parafan wax or even a bar of soap.

I would also check for a loose brake rotor on the otherside.

You might want to check your exhaust baffles and make sure that they haven't come loose. Also your heat shield can make wierd noises if they come loose. I would check your entire exhaust system to make sure everything is tight. I had this happen to me and it was a loose baffle. Hope this helps.

I put belt dressing on right after I put everything back together, so it's obveiously not the case. I'm sorry I did not mention that I relocated my brake disc and caliper over to the left drive side. I have a 03 Chopper but it's not stock at all. The wheels are custom Weld 18X8. I know it's not the exhaust. It has Martin Bro's WTF exhaust, and I just tightend it the other day.

Clutch slipping baffle??

I checked all my clutch plates and they are fine. I turned my main adjustment out 3/4 of a turn, and reajusted at the cable. Still the same bullshit. I've done this adjustment about 3 or 4 times but nothing seems to work. I just dont get it. My belt is good and to the corect adjustment, so what am I missing? Is it maybe something in the transmission?

Ok, if you've changed the brakes then what else have you done to it or was done to it?

Does it have an enclosed primary or open?
You say you've adjusted your clutch 3 or 4 times. Have you taken measurements to ensure it's moving as required. Is it a stock clutch or aftermarket?

As soon as you can post some pictures of this beast of yours the sooner we can help you out if we can.

By the way, I merged your treads. To answer just click on the BIG button that says "Reply" and it will as it in sucession here.

I had a noise coming from the rear of my bike and thought it was from the rear wheel. It was the exhust bracket that broke at the weld.

I'm pretty sure it's not the exhaust, because the noise is on the drive side. It is a closed primary. And I'm not sure what the spec movement measurement is. I don't have the manual for this perticular year. The brakes are stock to my noledge. I'ts just a relocating kit with a braket that was installed. I've had the bike for awhile and it has not had any problems with that particular area since the brake relocation. The clutch is a primo. Is that a stock clutch on the 03 models? Im sorry for listing two problems at once, but I thought they might both be a factor to my issue.

Primo's website should have the instruction on it for setting up the clutch. There should be a measurement you take to ensure you are getting full movement and you take it with a caliper.

Could the noise your hearing be coming from your brake pads?
