I bought my 05 chopper 2 years ago and I love it. Put 20,000 on it so far and not alot of issues. Had 2,000 when I bought it. Last Aug I bought a Harley 2008 ultra classic so the wife and I can go on LONG trips together. Love that bike also. Put 14,000 miles on it so far, I like to ride. I live in a small town( Boise, Idaho) And every time I go the the local harley shop or to an ICMS function or whatever it is people just look at you like you got a 30,000 dollar bike and don't ride much. I am a rider and I like all kinds of bikes , can't they at least be friendly and bullshit about anything and everything without consideration that we have BIG DOGS.:rant:

Just like in anything else, plenty of douche bags out there. Alot of us appreciate all bikes. I think some are insecure/jealous. So they act like douche bags when inside, they wish they had a bike as cool as yours :D

I had a Harley before I bought my Dog. In fact, just bought a new Road King. I get more extremes when on the Pitbull. Meaning... I get more people "impressed" with the dog, and at the same time get more 'tudes from other bikers too.

Fact is... 99.9% of the time as dog owners, when we pull up where other bikes are... WE ARE on the coolest bikes there. Some people are dicks about it.

I agree. I have been giving the same nods and waves to all riders on the road whether I have been on my Hondas, Harleys or Bid Dog. I love all motorcycles and riding. Seems douche bags will be douche bags and unfortunately a lot of them ride bikes.

Harley Stealers don't like it when you ride into thier lots.

I was at a small rally in the Kingston area in July, for fun the Harley Stealer that sponsered the weekend gathering held a show and shine. Being the only guy there with a DOG I put the bike into the show. The 3 judges, all employees of the Stealer ignored the DOG, they never even looked at it. It was just to funny.

same thing happened to me can dog sort of. entered in a small show. 1st place went to a fat boy with jesse james wheels and a factory orange paint set. 2nd went to a street glide with nothing more than bolt on chrome. and then best in show went to a guy that everyone knew that had just been in an accident(not on a bike) and he had a boss hoss trike(not a motorcycle if you ask me). I was just glad I didn't have to carry a trophy home.

f'em who gives a shit what they think - anyone who forms an opinion about someone because of the type of bike they ride isn't worth your time - All this crap about people who cop an attitude because they think they are more of a hard core biker or are cooler becuase of the bike they ride is stupid - hence, F'em. There are plenty of people to ride with like you who are cool and could care or less about all the other crap - just ride with them.

I haven't had that experience. Everywhere I go people approach me to talk about my bike. Last week the parts manager at my HD Dealership walked outside to look at my Mastiff. He even commented on how nice it is. Whenever I stop at a traffic light people in cars talk to me. It is somewhat of a burden at times when I just want to be left alone.

everyone love my bike and wants to talk to me about it, when I let they sit on it - I know they are wishing they had one. you guys are right about other bike owners being jealous of our bigdogs, we always are the best. I to have had friends said all kinds of things when I ride with them, they ask hows my butt , I tell them better then your are you gay. now that I have ridden more then 25000 miles with a lot of different bike owners they stop asking the questions and just ride, but I still get all the attention.
