Quiet it down

Energy One
We have been having issues in areas with the noise ordinance. Looking through the threads here on how to quiet the K-9 with 2-2 V&H down some before I receive a ticket. I called V&H asked about the 2-1, not an option anymore. If I went to a baffle what is my best option--Thunder Monster? Which of their two otions does the most for noise? Thanks, Al

Thanks Dakota. I am just looking for the best bang or in this case less bang for my buck. I have reviewed the existing threads as well as the posted reviews and the Riot did not do well. I just have not found any first hand information in regard to my best option to quiet this thing down without trial and error. Thanks again! Al

I have V&H 2 into 2 Big Radius cut baffles to suggested length and the sound was great. Had a few complaints tried the BCT quiet baffles and they sound exactly the same.

The V&H 2 into 2 comes with baffles, unless you are missing them? Anyway, as far as noice ordnance, Just cruise in the right gear at about 2000-2500RPM and back off the throttle when you pass by a cop.

So what are the local laws enforcing...and how are they measuring it ?
I don't know but my f@&$ neighbor tried to say that he hears me leaving for work in the morning. Not sure how that is possible seeing the bike has been down for awhile now. Really just made me want to punch him in his face for such a stupid comment. Guess the are really going to love my fsd shorter pipes lol... Baffles? Don't think so.

:confused:Is it safe to be quiet? Think about the individual talking on the cell phone and driving. They need to hear you. My neighbors love my Triumph going by at 0500 in the morning. It lets them know I am still alive, going to work, and contributing to the Government budget being under funded as we all know.:D

I get the biggest kick out of setting off car alarms. Whoopie:whoop:

You may want to move to a more bike friendly neighborhood!

Ok, enough of that. It looks like Quiet Riot would satisfy everyone.

Thunder Monster or QQ baffles ?

Ok, I've bought a set of V&H BR 2-2... now next question...

Thunder Monster baffles part number 2002 or the new QQ baffles part number QBL 1845???

Any feedback on sound & performance (comparison between them two) would be very much appreciated.

Thanks guys.

I think erldawg has the QQ baffles...not 100% sure...maybe shoot him a message

I still have my stock pipes. Taken off new an put in a box where I hope they stay. I would however, be interested in a set of V&H 2-1 if you know of any. I believe they are quieter then the 2-2 but not sure of that either. Does anyone know for sure what the bet option is (baffles) to tone down the V&H 2-2? Stock, aftermarket (make and model) or even a good lloking new exhaust system?

I install the QBL 1845 and they are louder than stock and sound juat the same as cutting your stock baffles down.
