This probably isn't in the right section, but wanted to get some information out to the forum regarding the CAJones bike repir shop in Wichita.
In the spirit of full disclosure.....I am not, and did not, recieve any financial benefit for reporting this and yes, I did tell them that I would let others know about their shop AFTER my bike was worked on by the shop.
This is the shop that Doug and Will (the former Chief Mechanic for Big Dog) run along with other former mechanics in Wichita. The operation is small but these are the guys that either directly built or participated/trained the guys who did build our bikes. I am very happy to have only a 5 hour ride to get to these guys, they are top notch.
I had a .600 cam installed, new crane hi-4 ignition, cruise-mate, new 300 rear tire and fluids changed. They also rejetted the carb. All the work was done in a day and the price was fairly cheap compared to the other shop rates I've paid. These guys know our bikes and are all a bunch of good guys.
Seems as though word is getting out, while I was there a guy from Jersey, another from Pa, and several locals all dropped off or picked up their bikes. They work on all brands and custom projects, but are Big Dog experts.
If you need something give them a call. :2thumbs:
