Lol...he's an odd one alright. If you're bored read a few of his posts. Unless it really is multiple people posting on one account he has a good working understanding of English and even has some decent grammar skills. That would mean the gibberish posts are intentional. It would take me a lot of effort to write in that "style" as opposed to my regular ramblings. Trying to be funny? Attention whore? Who the hell knows or cares - I have a new clutch carrier coming "before 10:30am" according to UPS!! :D:whoop::D They were out of clutch packs so I'm gonna get it all together and just pop the primary cover and install the new pack when it comes in.
Sounds good man :2thumbs: Did you happen to check the Main shaft while it's apart? New vs. old?

I just use that little wheel on my mouse and wheel right past any posts by Sven.

His posts are just spacers between REALITY.

Its smooth and has no lateral play that I can detect. Splines are clean. Anything else I need to check?

EDIT: Should have searched...I'll take a look when I get home and will send you the tranny numbers if I can't tell. Thanks for the heads up, I had read that "main shaft" post of yours a while back but forgot all about it.

lol...funny shit!

Andrew, its the bad one. The clutch is back-ordered so for now I have the bandit carrier plate with the stock clutch. Heating carrier and freezing the hub worked like a charm. Clutch pull is so much smoother now. Test ride tomorrow, too cold and too tired to take it out now. As long as the stock clutch is holding I may sit on the bandit clutch until I'm ready to pop the tranny out and send it your way. Dog is my primary transport so I'm in the market for a cheap second bike. I start loosing it if too many nice days go by and I'm not riding - once I grab something I'll probably send the tranny your way and the heads John Sachs way. Have the 600 cam already. Then a new carb and away we go.

I need to start working a second job...

Quick update – even with the stock clutch still in use, it’s like night and day. I can only assume it broke at the very end of last season so all my rides this season were with a grabby hard to pull busted clutch. A new cable and carrier plate and WOW what a difference! I cleaned it all up, loctite’d and torqued everything to spec (except higher torque on the clutch nut). The slipping which started this year is completely gone, I can WOT accelerate in 3rd, 4th and 5th with no detectable slip now. Once the rest of my Bandit order comes in I’ll pop the cover and expect it to only get better.
