Question

Hopping someone can help me. My 07 k9 has been having ecu problems . Sometime it won't start, sometimes it dies and the horn goes off, sometimes the right blinker won't work, the ecu lights would have several red lights on after I start it. After reading a lot of posts that you guys have put up, I took the gas tank off today and battery out and checked the wiring and put grease on ecu and all wire connectors. All the wiring looked fine. I had battery tested it was fine. After putting it back together I road for about a hour with no problems. There is one light that blinks on and off on the ecu. It's the ignition light. Should this light be on ?

Depending on what LED light but yes. For piece of mind send EHC to Wild Steed Worx for certified testing. I did

Sounds like you may have fixed your issue with grease and tightening the connections. Ride it till she breaks!!!

Shit thought I fixed the problem. Went to go ride today all EHC light are on and right blinker is not working. Taped the EHC and blinker works. Looks like it time for a wire plus or PDM ?

Not necessarily. Any time you tap and it starts working sounds like corrosion on the connector terminal pins. Sometimes just unplugging and re-setting the connector is enough to remove any corrosion. This is relatively low voltage stuff so the corrosion won't necessarily be visible. When the connector is off, check the pins to make sure none are loose. Good luck!

You have an 07 so you might have the newer "Smart EHC"
Hold your left blinker button in and turn the key on. Continue to hold the button in while the EHC goes through a self test. It takes 6-8 seconds, at the end if the bike returns to a "Ready to Start" state as if normally turning the key on then you have no EHC issues. If it doesn't seem to finish the self test and you see lights on the EHC that are on and any of the functions like a blinker or something is working then right it all down and call me. That situation would mean you have EHC issues and I might be able to help you troubleshoot it.
If on the other hand it goes straight to the "Ready To Start" state with no pause then you likely do not have the "Smart EHC"

Thanks for the help. I tried to see if I have the smart EHC looks like I don't . The bike just goes through the normal start cycle. All the functions work but EHC lights are on

Think I found the problem today. I took the battery out again and this time I inspected it. Not just having it tested. I found a crack through the neg post. After new battery everything is good. Thanks everyone for your help.
