Question

Was just coming home my bike started making a grinding noise comimg from the primary side I took the primary cover off and found that a nut located at the front of the primary worked its self loose and began to rub on the cover


Two questions that I have are:

Is this a common problem
How much do I torque the nut to

yep mine was loose too...while there check your clutch nut, (reverse threads) ..both of mine were loose...dont remember the torque specs but there is a post with every spec you need here somewhere..

These specs should work for your engine. Your 04 transmission specs may be different due to left side drive. Most clutch nut failure I believe were on later models like 06 and up.

Its a common problem on 04s It should have had a cotter key
