Question regarding pushrods and rocker boxes removal

I've read Gas Man's post about How To Replacing your Rocker Boxes and/or gaskets which is nothing short of an excellent guide, but I have a question.

Say I want to replace the rocker box gaskets for the front cylinder and nothing more - wouldn't it be enough to just find TDC (so valves and pushrods are not tensioned) then remove the Rocker Arm Assembly and Rocker Box, then replace gaskets and put it all back on?

I'm thinking that if you don't want to readjust your pushrods, why would you?
After reading the S&S manual I figured this scenario is possible.

You are correct, HD's come with solid push rods (non adjustable) from the factory and thats how you would service them. No need to readjust push rods if they were running fine before tear down. You will have a little resistance when bolting down rocker support as you will be collapsing the lifters in the process of tightening the rocker support. Just take your time and use the torque sequence in the book for the supports.
