question on axle caps

i have a 2004 pitbull and found a set of 2006 pitbull axlecaps the guy measured them from center to center @ 2 3/4" whitch is what my 2004 is but there is two different part #s does anyone know forsure if the 2006 caps will fit the 2004 pitbull? Thank you so much for any help.

I don't know for sure but if the bolt hole centers then it will probably work. I have different #'s on mine.

they fit so there is no differance in the 04-05 to 06-07
