Thanks Moe, You KNOW I value your opinions and knowledge!:2thumbs:I think a black frame with that would look great Ken. Black or that red are pretty much your only choices. Did you talk to the painter about matching the metal flake in the red? Get that thing done! I been working 'till after midnight every night on mine!
And Moe, thanks for these black frame examples! I know you took some time to find them.Ok not the right colors but it gives you an idea of frame contrast. In my opinion, if you have a really flashy metal flake paint, you need some contrast in the frame or wheels or it all kinda blends together.

Kathy, thanks for finding this photo! It is probably the BEST example of what my bike would look like with a black frame. Thanks for looking so hard for a good example!I was almost positive that I've seen a bike with your exact paint scheme with a black frame. Been looking thru old pics and couldn't find it but I did find this one. Yours would look better than this one with a black frame since you've got the black in the ghost flames

Well put Jimi! I like your perspective and value your experience. I am leaning toward your thoughts here (matching the red). ThanksI have been painting stuff for 30 years now..I would like to think I gotta eye for this stuff...and its just my opinion....black frame is the easy way out,yet doesnt give the bike that eye candy look it can have,,with the frame the color of all the sheetmetal,I feel the bike stands out more, and looks that much better.......
My bike has a black frame, cause I wanted a black bike with accented color but black being the predominant colr...so my frame works cause there is uniformity......
Ken the word of the day here is just that....UNIFORMITY.......

Ed, thanks for responding with your opinion!! You KNOW we ALL value your expertise in this area!:2thumbs:I agree with Jimi above unless you were to put more black into your graphics (flames) you could pull off the contrast but if you're gonna keep your tins the way they are I say color match the frame
Paul, when I get the bike finished I will ask Mandy if she would do another shoot and wear 'color coordinated' lingerie! The real question is what color lingerie is your hot brunette friend from the gym going to be wearing when she poses on this bike. I vote Red.
My opinion is I'd do the frame in black only if I were to go balls deep in powder-coating. I'm talking bars, trees, forks, partially or all of the wheels etc. Even do the heads and jugs and diamond cut them. If your staying with all the polished alum and chrome then paint it the tin main color of red.
Whatever you decide to do we'll need more pics with the brunette friend posing with the new scoot.
AND maybe I can get her to model several outfits (like a runway model) and run a POLL for all you HORNDOGS)!

I agree too! :2thumbs:I agree. A black frame just looks like any old generic looking bike. I think a color matched frame is what sets the Big Dog's apart from the rest of the bikes out there and gives the bike a more custom look.
I agree :2thumbs:I prefer a base color frame so it has a more custom look than a standard black everybody in the world including the rice burners frames have. It gives more prominence to the whole bike in my opinion but what do I know Im just a janitor.
Which bike are you talking about Billy?yep...what the guys said...something about that bike looks like, i hate to use the word cheap, but maybe not full custom it deserves...
Thought about this some more after I read it. That would be BADASS!How about chrome? Rarely see it due to the cost, but when I do its the shit!
:up:Might work but Lotsa $$$$$$black frame, black wheels, black lower legs, black headlight, black grips, black pipes, black etc.
You know you are going to have to buy that beautiful woman of your many matching outfits instead of the black she has on to match the bike. Looking forward to see how your spending spree goes.. lol You know what I mean, Ruby ring, nails , outfits. heels and so on... So get to it KenAfter all the comments, I am pretty sure I will go with matching the base red. I would love to be able to match it in powdercoat, but not sure they could do that as exact as I would want.
A while back I posted this picture and caption (on facebook) about my first chopper build (The entire bike is powdercoated the same color):

"My lovely wife on my chopper. Wish she rode her own. I would give her this bike! (Looks good on it doesn't she!!)"
And after considering all the comments on this thread (and looking at this bike), I just don't think the frame would look good any other color than what it is, do you guys?
I know the K-9 tins that I showed you at the beginning of this thread have quite a lot of black, but still when I consider everything, In my mind's eye, I think I should try to match the red.
