Question For Curtis or anyone else

I just installed a new speedometer that I got from Curtis. I checked all the wiring and everything checks out. When I first tried to ride the bike it wasn`t working right. It wouldn`t register the correct speed and would periodically show 80000 on the display and then the needle would go to half way position. I took it out and calibrated it according to the directions All went well ,but , now when i`m doing 60 miles an hour it reads that i`m doing 100 miles an hour. Also every so often it will show 30000 on the display and go to the half way position , than will return to the 0 position or whatever the speed i`m going , though incorrect. Has anyone had this happen to them? Does anyone know anything about these speedometers? Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Thanks

I just emailed you.
Curtis , I did get the speedometer calibrated. It turns out that must be a short somewhere in the system, I would drive the 2 miles to calibrate ,but , during that 2 miles the power would be interrupted to the unit and would start to re calibrate on it`s own. I kept trying to drive the 2 miles without it losing power. Was finely able to get the whole 2 miles without it losing power and it worked. So I`m now calibrated . Now I have to find the short or whatever is going on to interrupt the power . I`m glad winter is coming on so I can get into it.
You mention something about the ehc having a problem. My question is is there anyway I can check to see if the ehc has been upgraded already? If not what do you think my bast option is? Is there a replacement that doesn`t have the problems the stock ehc seems to of had? It is always something with this bike, but,I still love it.
Thanks Curtis

I have a wire plus install and the spedo acts like that when the key switch is not making good connection. Sometimes the tach will blink at a rate associated with the engine RPM. The top motor mount is a tough place for a switch to survive. I think it also has to do with which way the switch is orientated as to whether the contacts will bounce.
