QUESTION FOR ANDREW

A few months ago my trans main shaft broke and i had you replace it and you did a great job. Well recently the clutch hub nut came loose,i felt the vibration a little at first and after about 100 miles or so and after reading some post on the site here i finally found the problem .Anyway replaced it with the new heat treated nut from baker,well i still have a vibration i was wondering is it possible that i bent the end of the main shaft.I have checked every bolt and nut on this bike do you have any ideas where else to look???? ANYBODY

Anything is possible, but it's unlikely with the new main shaft. Have you checked your belt tension? Should be 1/4" at 10 lbs upward force.
Motor mounts are good? Pulley nut can loosen up and cause vibration as well. Feel free to call me later if you don't find the problem.

Thanks for getting back to me,belt tension is good pulley nut is tight. The vibration is mostly on accelration ,crusing at 70 is pretty smooth

Primary chain is in spec? 5/8"-7/8" cold?

Andrew has far more experience than most of us mere mortals, so i am hesitent to but in.
However, on Acceleration you say?
Sounds like engine balance, or possibly rear wheel out of balance.
I would lean more towards wheel balance, much cheaper option and i don't know if they do crank balancing these puppies.
I had a HD shovel that had an issue with crank balance, your symtems sound simular.
