Question about Big Radius Pipes

What makes the difference in length in these pipes. If they are all Big Radius Pipes, why are some longer than others? I am getting a set from a fellow biker I met at bike night last night that he only has 500 miles on and I noticed his are shorter than the ones in these two pictures. Some go past the swing arm and others stop at the swing arm. His stop slightly before it. Any idears??

Same bike? If not ... frames are different, exhaust ports are in different spots, etc. There are different versions of the Big Radius available though.

Maybe differant manufacture dates. V&H my have found out they were draging in right hand corners, so they shortened.

The pictures are of 2 different frame types. Also notice the forward bend on the rear cyl ? [
Here are the BR Pipes on my 05 Chopper. They exit even higher yet.

Yes..Bikerdad61, that is exactly what I am talking about. I do notice now that the two frames are different on the pictures I posted but I was really referring to like the ones you have and couldn't find any picture to post. I didn't realize about the draging and wanted the longer ones until now. Thanks for the info guys. Maybe I'll get the shorter ones to eliminate that.:2thumbs:

Just lean in a little more on right hand turns and the asphalt should take care of shortening them up for you.
