Pushrod adjustment

Hi all, I've been browsing the forum for a while now and bringing my 06 k09 up to spec. While adjusting the pushrods using the manual and the nice pictorial writeup here, the manual calls for a 7/16 wrench and I ended up using an 11mm to get a good fit on the bolt with out rounding it off.

Is it common for the manual to be off on these things? I'm still waiting for the Sand S manual.

I don't trust the BDM manual as far as I can throw it. I often open up my HD Softail manual to get a good idea of what to do and the torque value. BDM's is only good for the pictures -- kinda like a Hustler.

I have a 05 and 07 Manual, the 07 is very good the 05 not so good.

I'd have to agree with that. My manual is only good for things I don't it need it for. When I really need a manaual my BDM one is seriously lacking.

By the way I used an 11mm too.

I thought that was becaus'n they don't allow SAE (proper) wrenches into the country being as you're all metric and such.

before I had these bikes SAE stood for Stamped Addressed Envelope

Henry -- I think you'll find the S&S manual WAY better. I've sat and read it a couple of times now--I feel way better about it and the HD manuals.
