Is it the chopper model? Condition and parts availability would be the most important issues. I would not be to concerned about what KBB or NADA sets prices for Bigdog's.
Post some pictures if you can and check the tire dates and service records if possible.

Thank you. Yes a chopper and as of now I learned the carb and pipes were installed at purchase and no other changes have been made. Are the electrical issues a really concern or hit and miss??

If the bike has no current or intermittent electrical issues your probably OK. The battery is the most important part on the bike and you should make sure it's not old or in poor shape. I would recommend you get a new battery regardless just so you know for sure. Also protect the EHC from a possible shorting battery with a Circuit Breaker or a Fuse. The bike comes with a CB between the VR and battery in case of a short or overcurrent from the VR. That does not protect the EHC.

My biggest concern would be the transmission…even over the electrical concerns. When you go look at it. Tell the owner to pull the dipstick from the transmission. Check the fluid on your finger for any signs of metal shavings in it. Maybe have him run down the road and through the gears one time. $12g for ‘05. Lots of other BigDogs out there looking for a new home.

My thoughts . On things not already mentioned

Paint if is is not a solid color make sure you like the graphics.. Not very practical money wise to change unless your skilled or really well connected.

Will you have a passenger or want luggage capability. You need struts with sissy bar mounts and a sissy bar . About 1k+ to add both. Seat , a pillion pad for passenger would work .

Exhaust .. another 7 - 800 to change . If you don't like .

Tires condition .. another potential cost.

Condition of chrome , wheels etc . You can get most of it but not cheap.

Location , you could drop a few hundred if it's aways out .

I Paid 6500 for a 03 chopper 22.5k miles. Tires were tired. Doesn't have any of the sissy bar or mounts . Needed little love . Shows some use if you know where to look. I was happy with the graphics . 80 mile drive to its location .

I watched this bike about 3 months.. It started out at 8500 .

Knothead helped me out on some of the details needed and sold me some parts .
At the May Thang . Which was not my intentions.
Which I am eternally great full for .

Thank you. Yes he planned on riding it to a meeting location. I agree on it being a bit costly. Things out here in NV seem higher than other places....idk why

Graphics are fine. Sissy bar and pillion are included and well...vital. larger super glide carb and aftermarket pipes.
