2003 big dog massive it's been setting for 8 years when you started it pumps oil out the breather tube any ideas what to look for

Yes, #1, because it has been sitting, oil has drained from the tank, down into the engine. It's called sumping. Start it up and let it run for about 5 minutes, so the oil pump can pump the oil back into the tank. You might want to leave the oil cap off. If you added oil before you started it, the tank might over flow. Once the bike is warm, drain the oil and add 3 qts of fresh oil.

Also if you continue to have oil blow out, the valve cover gasket may be dried out, and the little flapper isn't sealing the vent port.
