Pulled the trigger and ordered a bandit bruser clutch.

Tired of the slip and grip so I ordered a bandit brusier 14 disc clutch and carrier.
Lets hope it stops the slipping BS I keep having with the stock one.

BTW anyone know of any mods to make the tranny stronger like a case support, etc?

Well Im still trying to get this bandit adjusted.... but even with two thick shims under the green springs I can roll into 4th gear and make it slip. :angry::bang::angry:anic2::zzdisappointed: I have tried every little sweet spot I can find. I have adjusted from creeping in gear, to preloading the clutch and all in between. I would think that if I can lift the front tire off the ground in first and bang 2nd so hard that the rear tire jumps that it should not slip by simply rolling into 4th gear:loony:

Any ideas here guys??? Im calling bandit tomorrow, as well as baker to see if I can find a fix.

When you are adjusting your clutch rod, are you using a dial caliper to detect contact or going by feel? I used a dial caliper (since I had the primary cover off anyway) when I set my Bandit up and will share that it was much more accurate then going by feel. I set it once and its been perfect since with no creeping or slipping.
Are you using one of their recommended oil or something else?
I'm only running one thick and one thin (don't remember the # spec's off hand) shims. I can pull the front tire hitting 2nd and haven't had a detectable slip in other gears - that I know of.

I went by feel and used only the lightest of touch to turn the rod. Pretty used getting a "feel" for things On the oil im using 32 fluid ounce bel ray 75 weight that bandit suggested.

Its a 2005 bike right? You didn't change the ball and ramps to the 2008 and later did you?

Scott thanks for any help...Yes its a 2005 ridgeback and no the bike does not have the easy pull ball/ramp setup.

I just ordered a new Bandit clutch with carrier. Its like arround 600.00 shipped. Shitbird you also better check the Tranny mainshaft bearing when you have bike apart.

Forgot to update this post...I got the bandit clutch to work like it should and it did not slip at all.In fact it was better all around. I just had to find the sweet spot. For me it was a 1/4 turn away from touching.
Bad thing is that after I got it just right I ended up getting a steal of a deal on a Karata open primary belt drive and it came right back off with only about 200 or so miles.
