What is the diff between the xxx and the thunderjet. I have the thunderjet myself. I get on the highway and look the daylights out. Thats all I know.
The xXx is your stock carb modified by xXx (now Triple X) by installing the "annular" tube and or boring it out larger.

They now include installing a Thunderjet on their modified carb.

The Thunderjet is another jet that can be installed on most any carb. It's made by Zippers in Jersey.

A stock S&S carb has two jets and adding a Thunderjet makes it three and can smooth out the transition between each jet but takes some tinkering to get it right.

Also, Zippers makes there own S&S carb that includes the Thunderjet called the G-1,2,3. Notice they don't use the annular tube!

Ok, I'm done with "Carburator 101"!! :D  :whoop:

I read once that the annular tube actually harms performance - from memory too much turbulence created - no idea if thats true or not though.

I will say that I've done a few miles with the PSI now and it is quality. I know changing jets on the S&S is not difficult but the adjustments on the PSI are much quicker, easier and less messy. Just shut the engine off, open the throttle and twist the clicker - done. It also performs better in my opinion. However, for the difference in price it should be better. The Triple x is still great value for money.

If you are talking about the video of the kid doing a wheelie on the pit bull, I did see it and it was kewl.
WHERE IS THE VIDEO???? I have to see it!!!

Oh, this was my project today!!!!

Too bad the fuckin orange bowl screws wouldn't clear the factory air cleaner backing plate !!! :bang:

Oh well, It runs great though. After yankin the bowl 3 times to rejet, I ended with .033/.076 running the stongest so far!!!

Little more tinkering and the ol' front end will be air born, I can feel it!!!:D

I wish I had more money.
That looks good BDM. I had gone to the streetfighters mypage sight and watched a couple traillers. Well there it was. And a shot of him doing a pretty good hole shot/burnout. When I get home tonight I will try to find it and post the link up.

Jake,
are you making/selling those extended bolts at your place? I think they look pretty sweet.

I bought those off Ebay a long time ago with the anticipation of getting the XXX and putting them on because they match my paint. They don't clear the stock air cleaner backing plate!!!:bang:

So, I'll save them until I get a different air cleaner. Good reason to buy one!!!:2thumbs:

I was and I may start making them.

I was and I may start making them.
With all the spikes on forum member's rides here, I believe there would be a market for them. Maybe a smaller spike that would fit the stock backing plate?

If you can make it work with the stock plate, I know I'm good for a set!:D

There are tons of guys making them already in brass, chrome powder coat...Long and short versions, so there isn't a market for them anymore. More people making them that guys buying them. That was the only think holding me back. I'd make 20 sets and sell 5.

all this talk about PSI and XXX carbs... what about Mikuni? I went to Daytona Beach for bike week and saw a lot of customs running Mikuni carbs. Looked them up on line and they look very close to the PSI carbs... Anyone know anything about Mikuni?
