Project peek....

L@@KS GREAT ... Have been giving it some serious consideration. However just going over the logistics believe it might not be the best choice in this situation. (Specifically around masking areas of paint and metal...just a little cautious and wary..)

Austrailian ford falcon xbtgt 1974 made and built in Austailia
Good knowledge.....
The most memorable car, Max's black Pursuit Special - frequently designated a (V8) Interceptor - was a limited GT351 version of a 1973 Ford XB Falcon Hardtop (sold in Australia from December 1973 to August 1976) which was primarily modified by Murray Smith, Peter Arcadipane and Ray Beckerley

Of the motorcycles that appear in the film, 14 were donated by Kawasaki and were driven by a local Victorian motorcycle gang, the Vigilantes, who appeared as members of Toecutter's gang.

Damn Ron, did you have someting to do with the movie? Got to watch it again....

One thing for sure - if they were to make a Part II - this project bike is "IN" but NO donations - I want it BACK

Sorry Staffy but my Mum is an Aussie. Drives her nut's when I say I think the only things that are worthwhile to come out Australia have been AC/DC Mad Max and Steve Irwin (Crockadile Hunter).

But anyway back to the bike ..... any progess so far this weekend?

Thanks - Yes, RON is beyond talented.

Re the pipes - I have a few choices, have already bought a few and now planning to buy a few more - so here you go... V&H 2-1 CHROME, V&H Big Radius CHROME or the Hooker Darkside which look like the Big Radius but in BLACK (leaning towards the HOOKER) - wonder why - lol

Sorry Ron ZERO PROGRESS - got ropped into taking the boys on a ski trip (don't get me wrong love the boys and time with them, just hate spending time away from my Dogs :) :) - Should be back on Monday and will have to tackel it then. Probably take a few days off from work next week to get it complete. Will be changing pipes, grips, pegs, levers and possibly work with Roger as well on the seat.

Yea, I started that venture with Vision but haven't gotten too far with it.
That is next on deck. Not quite as fun as doing all the tins for a radical bike but I got the tank I showed you before and I will make a pattern next to make one similar but with maybe an extra gallon+ of capacity. But I am sure I need to make this a bolt on to be user friendly so I am wonder how common that bolt pattern is?

Question: Staffys bike had some really trick twist on friction mount system. Is that standard on all Big Dogs now or is it only on certian models? The reason I ask is because the other (older) Big Dog tank I have has conventional dual crossbar w/ recessed mounts setup.

STAFFY - Family is first man. Your kids are not gonna want to hang out with dad forever man. Before you know it you will have all the time in the world with your bikes and be wishin your kids came by more often to visit.

Thanks Ron. Re the GAS TANK MOUNTS - they differ from model to model and from year to year. So you have to pin it down. We here can help - need any perticular specifics - just give us a shout.

Final - Design

Ok, so the tins are out to paint. The tank has been pressure tested and nickle plated. All body work done and now on to the paint....here's what I'm leaning towards....
