Problem?

From what I see the nut is removed so the answer would be "yes" but I guess by you question it is not coming off ?

Does it have any looseness at all? It does go into the trans a bit and has a tight seal around the out side of the hub (which you can't see)

How many miles on the bike? It should just slide off but if it's not, it's being held up by something. How do the ends of the splines look on the main shaft? Was there a washer between the clutch hub and hub nut? If not, maybe the splines are mashed up. You will have to take a small file and clean the shaft up. That bikes and '05 so it probably has an old style main shaft in it anyhow unless you replaced it already. The bearings in the transmission bad? You have any play on the shaft?

FYI, that also has the old style Inner carrier. You will want to inspect it for any cracks. Might want to check with baker and see about getting a new one. The old ones like yours sometimes will get a crack and end up coming apart on ya while riding.

Thanks Andrew. First I am pulling everything to fix some primary leaks. While I am at it I have a Bandit clutch w/ carrior to replace the stock.

Ends look good and yes there was a washer between the clutch hub and nut.

If it was assembled correctly, red locktite would have been used and some may be in the hub but you should be able to put the bike in gear and shake it loose or worse case install a long bolt or pc of thred rod and shake it loose.

I did try and heat it up some so I could maybe work it loose. I was also thinking of trying a slide hammer as well. One thing is for certain, its on real good!
