Yea,i have it on the charger now. I am changing the wires just wouldn't have thought it could do this. I have had tons of bikes and never these issues with this.
:lol::lol::lol: We live and learn...:cheers::cheers:

I don't think the swapped wires would cause it not to start. And all the other bikes more than likely did not have these crazy electronic boxes on them either.

I believe the intent was good to modernize the electronics on BDM it just happened to turn out bad. Some are very temperamental. On the flip side there are many bikes on here with no electronic issues.

Yes,my first big dog. Once I figure how the electronics work I think it will b better. Can u bypass the ignition module or just swap it out for a dyna?

I'm not sure that a dyna will plug and play or you can bypass. The ignition module receives a signal from the cam sensor. I would run through the checks first to find the problem.

I do know alot of guys have replaced the module with another from Thunderheart that is adjustable. The factory modules are locked.

Again get the battery charged up and run the checks on the cam sensor. The EHC needs a good battery to boot properly. I'm not positive about an 03 model however the newer models will sweep the speedometer when you turn the key on and after it's settled then you hit the run and start buttons.

Ok,switched headlight wires. Fully charged and still ignition module doesnt blink while turning over. Can I bypass the power going to ignition module?

I wish I had more money.
I'm not sure about that. One of the guys will walk you through the tests. I'm not sure that the ignition on the 03 is ran through the ehc to begin with. If you end up with the thunderheart jacked up that is an easy fix. Thing is to keep everyone on the same page here you've got to keep us informed to any changes big or small and the outcome of any tests you perform. Did you search the forum on how to test your ignition?

Great news,kinda.lol found the problem. On the ignition, the ground wasnt working. So I made a jumper from the black wire to the ground on the battery and it works! Still gonna do the wires plus and dyna 2000i though. Thanks for all the help guys! This site rocks!!

Good find was that on the ignition switch or the ignition module? Might have been a bad crimp on the ground wire. Common problem....

Yea another happy satisfied customer.....:cheers:
