Problem homologation K9 Passenger

Hello Team

I have a big issue with my K9 09,
when I passed the inspection, which was my surprise that the bike has been approved only for one passenger. Is there a generic manufacturer's certification for this problem? Anyone has the same problem in Europe?

if you can see in file attach " Codigo s.1.1 " 1/1 means , only 1 passenger.

Did you have it inspected with all the passenger accessories installed? Not sure how big of a deal it is I personally wouldn't hesitate to ride 2 up anyways

I think you are right. the problem the BD entered in the firts moment in Germany and after that went to Spain. And I suppose the inspection was passed without passegenr pillow and passenger pegs so the problem that I have , there is no global manufacturing certification for a single homologation i need to pass an unitary homologation with a specific test for that , so nightmare and imaning the cost for thar.

figured as much. got mine inspected first year i bought it at a local bike shop and that was it. guy took my paperwork, went in the back and did something with a demo bike, and then came out with a diagnostic printout and gave me a passing sticker for my bike out front. he didn't even go out front to check to see if my VIN matched up. LOL

In Virginia I think the State troopers turn a blin eye to motorcycle inspections. "horn work, check, lights work , check, blinkers work, check, tires has thread, check. Great looking bike, check.

Yes, Cesar and I have been talking.... the problem comes from when the bike first came into Europe via Germany, there it was stamped for NO passenger!!! Now Cesar has a big problem to change that... or pay another 2000 plus bucks to re-do the paperwork.

They may require a strap or something for passanger to hold on. Seat and pegs may well not be enough . Thank god the rules in Finland are getting more reasonable, DOT is now accepted

The other options is ride iligal with the possible insurance problem in case of a crash

Nope, no strap... in the old days yes... not anymore... now its just the pillion and pegs... the F up was made in Germany when the bike first arrived from the US.

Correct me if I am wrong... but, could it be that your K9 arrived without passenger pegs??? If that´s a yes then that´s why in Germany went with a solo rider bike homologation!!!

You are Right Franco, i supouse that this is the main reason, the bike when arrived from Germany no came with pegs and pillion. The original owner didnt give me anything when i bought the bike locally.
As you know if you like to bring a BD from USA directly to Spain now it,s no possible always need to be registered firts for other european country before past the homologation in Spain.
