primary vent bolt head

I have a 2007 k9, took it into jamies customs for a 5k miles service and after the ride home noticed oil spurt out on the belt side. I cant figure out where it was coming from so took it back to jamies. they think its the transmition rod and bearings. someone told me it might be the primary vent tube. can someone please show me a pic of this vent tube. also, where in illinois (antioch) area could I take my bike to that has a big dog factory trained tech.

Welcome Marty and the primary vent is going to be on the inside of the primary inside cover. Its not a tube but a vent hole (Screen). If you stand on the belt side of the bike and look to the right of the starter you can see the vent.

thanks, gonna pick up the bike today from dealer and check it out myself. you would think being a tech, they would have done the research to figure this out instead of trying to sell me a new tranny.

They may have over filled it. 1 quart in the primary and 20 oz. in the tranmission.

Were exactly is it coming from... right or left side... do this...check under right side were the starter goes into the primary... this is were mine leaked....come to find out it was leaking out of the starter..Thats one spot to try!!
