Primary oil leak

Hello Everyone, New member here and a new owner of a 2006 K9... anyway... I have a oil leak from the outer primary... I ordered a new "0" ring gasket but to me it is not thick enough but when I talked to the Big Dog parts guy he saying that it's the right gasket but it is still leaking... has anyone else here have this same issue? and a fix??
and no there are not any cracks in the case... seems like when going back together it metal on metal... I am at a loss here on what to do...

Welcome to the forum from Melbourne Florida. Can you post a picture of exactly where the leak is on the primary. Sometimes having a visual of the problem helps with a solution.

There's a sequence in tightening the bolts. I would loosen all bolts and retighten the leaking area first. There's a pdf manual on here somewhere that might help.

Welcome from Southwestern Virginia. The tighten sequence is most important when installing the outer primary cover with new o-ring. Refer to the previous post.

Welcome to the forum, glad I don't need to worry about primary leaks.. Picture of leak location might help diagnose the cause as Mick said.

When you have the cover off next time, take a look at both mating surfaces. I got a new outer cover that had all kinds of high spots on it. Flat filed both surfaces....no more leaks. Jm .02
