I have read for hours on here last night for info on the Clutch Hub Nut and everyone says gasman has a post about it. I read a how to he made but I am not sure if it is the right one, I am clueless what a Clutch Hub Nut is and the Clutch Basket etc... I have looked on Bakers website and still Nothing. My fingers hurt from typing, can anyone help me? I have only heard the clucking sound a couple of times, thinking about it, it sounded like the chain hitting inside the primary cover. I am not sure where to drain the fluid from my Primary, I can't find a drain plug, I am lost with this one.

Thanks

Its easiest to find if you poke your head underneath the primary at the rear of it on the bottom. Once you've drained all the fluid out start removing the Allen head bolts that hols the outer primary cover on and remove the outside cover. That will expose the entire chain and clutch. If I remember right you should have about7/8 of an inch play. If you have more loosen the nut on the adjuster and add tension. You will be looking right at the clutch assembly (in front of the tranny) so you can check the hub while you are at it. I had the same noise at 5k.
Hope this helps

Is your bike like mine, I have a 2003 Chopper. I also have a leak where my shifter lever is on the tranny, it's it hard to remove rhe entire primary cover, front and back? All info helps, I am a Computer Engineer, total Nerd but I have built many engines and can do anything, I do it right the first time and learn as much as I can before I do anything, I am a little intimidated by my bike. I can polish like Nobody bussiness and I have more hours polishing than riding but I will get it once I know what it is I am doing.

Thanks

I had the nut on the tensioner come off which of course caused the chain to slap the inside of the outer primary and then the nut got chewed up. Might want to remove the outer primary and take a look in there and see what's going on.
