Primary drive rattle

I have an 05 ridgeback. Noticed the primary likes to rattle in third gear around 2000 rpms. Has anyone ran into this issue?

I would check the slack, adjust the chain tensioner if it is loose.

Have you ever pulled the clutch pack apart & cleaned everything really good with high pressure air? I have to take my BDL apart periodically to get all the fiber dust out. Be a good time to check everything out.

I’ll try that out. Next time I go for a ride I’ll try to record the noise. Maybe it’ll give a better idea of what it might be.

On a baker primary most of the time the rattle is because of worn fingers on the clutch disc and they are popping back and forth on the basket

I'm not saying forsure that what it is but usually that what it is...I would look close at the basket and hub to see if it wore too...but I will say if it is the clutch disc then it will wear the hub and basket prematurely
