Primary cover

i have a 06 k9. i bought some maltese cross primary covers ( the big and small round plate). do i just take all the bolts off and replace or is there oil behind the plates? if so do i just sit the bike straight so it want drain out? what is all involve in changing these plates. any help appreciated, thanks dino

no there just for looks, no oil will leak out if removed, at least that way on my 07 pitbull thay shoud be the same.. what about a intro????

They are just dummies on my Mastiff. The middle kind of rectangular plate is for inspection and adjusting primary chain.

thanks for the info. put new covers on. the only thing is the bolt heads stick out more now and their not chrome, will chrome them later, thanks
