Primary chain free play 117"

How much free play should my primary chain have and where do you measure it? Right now, I measured on the top chain...... I have about 3/4" free play. Is this OK?

My 08 service manual says 3/4" plus or minus 1/8" for a cold engine. So, you should be good.

Dont know if they have one for the 117 but I installed a hydraulic tensioner on my 107 from south oregon hot bikes. no worries about tension no slop. I ran one in my hd for 3years with no issues.

All hydraulic tensioners that could fit are on backorder .

Which one is the one for BDM?
