Primary Chain Adjustment

I know the service manual says to remove the primary cover, but how many of ya'll (damn that's my redneck comin' out) just remove the inspection cover? I checked my chain while I was changing the primary fluid and it was just within tolerence. If I was to tighten it up a qtr inch or so can it be done just through the inpection cover? Hey that craftsman yellow lift worked perfect on the K9.....strapped it down tight!!!!!!!

Yes it can with no problems. I've done it myself.

its easier to do with the primary cover off but as already said you can do through the inspection hole
