image.jpg Had enough of the midrange flop ! Have tried every recommendation y'all have said. Had enough and said "FUCK IT!" Put a Mikuni 45 and jetted it on the Dyno today! Ok People at last I get about 1" pull of the front tire off the ground rolling through 2nd gear! IT IS ALIVE!!!!

Can't wait to check that out this next weekend. I have a guy that wants to put one on his K9, but no one else talks about doing that to theirs on here.

I absolutely am sold! We spent 1.5 days jetting the mid range and never could stop the flop. It was always there! Some jets worse than others. But we slapped this Mikuni on. Did a test ride then a Dyno. Went up 2 jet sizes and holy bat flaps! This dog has never responded like this. The Mikuni is a racing carb. it is just a differant beastie! In my case it is the perfect solution !

I've been running the Mikuni for years now... the best. Only thing is they are very sensative and often require slight idle adjust while sitting at a light. Not unusual to have an idle swing of 200 rpm, so I keep mine on the high side around 1100 so it won't drop below 900.

FWIW - Custom Chrome makes a cool chrome adapter that bolts under the carb with two knobs, elminating the hanging cables for choke / idle. :)

why are your "slobber cans" upside down ?
wont they just soak your "umbrella" valves, , and or let the "dirty oil back in ?
