Power problem,lights stayed on

Ok, after my big overhaul on my bike today which turned out unsucsessfull so far. I did learn something interesting.
I was having problems after riding in the rain the last week with my lights staying on after i turned the ignition off.
I checked all the wires no problem with them rubbing on the tank or anything of the sort.
Something told me th check the ECm conectors.....sure enough mild corosion on the inboard one. I cleanded the posts applied some di elictrode grease , problem solved, now if I can only get my clutch issue fixed since this is my daily driver!!
I have put a little less than 12,000 miles on the bike since I bought it this april, minus the startor this is the only problem I have had ,well besides the clutch.

What kind of clutch problems are you having ?

it was fine before i messed with everything. After i adjusted it it was fine, then after test riding it it made a horrible whining noise and i cannot get it to adjust properly. It keeps dragging ,not fully releasing. it will die if you try to start it in first gear with the clutch pulled in...
I followed all the tutorials on here on how to adjust the clutch...I am lost. I think its the clutch basket

Could be a failing throwout bearing, Broken clutch basket and/or loose clutch nut.

You need to grease the clutch pushrod as well. Could be causing the squeal.

Just a thought, but how does your clutch lever feel? I re-installed my primary this weekend and when I went to adjust the clutch, there was very little if any movement, when I pulled the lever (as if I was just stretching the cable). turned out my cable (while loose) slid down the down tube. This caused the 'Ball ramp' to not be fully retracted and not moving freely.

Another possibility is that when you adjusted the clutch, you may have put too much pressure on the Clutch rod. If you turn clockwise beyond the slight resistance to where all the slack is taken up, you are then engaging the clutch. Be sure to turn clockwise until slack between rod and throw out bearing is taken up, (you will feel light resistance on the rod as you turn), then back off 1/4 turn and tighten the nut.
