Powder Coating

Considering having my engine torn down for powder coating. I'd welcome any and all comments.

I had my 05 Ridgeback powder coated by Sumax in upstate NY who did a very good job of matching the color. I had my entire engine and the tranny coated. After Sumax powder coated the heads and cylinders they sent them to Diamond Heads for some added bling. Looked great and I never had a single chip. Well worth doing if it fits the budget.

I've seen some done and they look great, but doesn't powder coating them help retain some heat?

I would have to think that if it was a problem that Harley would have been in trouble years ago. They've been doing it for fricken years I'm pretty sure. As long as the powder coat isn't put on too thick, I'd think It'll be fine.:2thumbs:

Get the diamond cut also. It will make the powder coat pop :2thumbs:
