Powder Coated Sissy Bar !!

Decided to go with Powder instead of chrome . Bought a doit your self kit for home and it actually works pretty good . I did the sissy bar in a 2 stage black base and clear .
I just thought with a all black bike the black bar would look pretty good .Now I think I will do the trees and some other small parts .

Powdercoating is cheap even done by the pros. That's why I never bothered.

Did you sandblast the metal first?

Yes I bead blasted it first . I talked to the guy that does most of the coating around here and gave me a few pointers . Guy has been doing it 20 years . I ended up just buying the Craftsman Kit . Its about $100 at Sears .Got mine on Ebay for $31.50 plus shipping .
Bought an old electric over at garage sale $10 with cord .Its like he told me as long as it in even and hot enough tto cure it will work just fine . Turned out pretty good .
