I had a similar issue on my 04 Chopper after I washed it. A bit of water got somewhere that it shouldn't have been. After that I avoided directly spraying the controls. My friend had an 04 Ridgeback and his would do the same when dry, he took the switches apart and cleaned them with contact spray, that solved his problem. Hope that helps.
