Got an 07 Pitbull myself. Wife rides with me. Rigid not a problem even though I have a bad back and 59 years old. Love it

Greetings all, I just bought a K-9 yesterday it was a "new" o8 with 95 miles, I love riding this thing, as soon as we completed the test drive I knew that was the bike for me. Swapping out the exaust (The VH-BR to the two into one) and getting the Air Filter changed over. I had dropped over a grand more before I left the shop. I think it will be a love affair after I get a little padding put into this seat. This bike requires some diffrent handling skills, it may take me a day or two-9 feet is a lot of motorcycle. This is my first post, just joined, just got my "Dog" . "T"

Congrat's....sounds like when I got mine...new riding style but you can tell right away its gonna be fun.....try getting used to the hard seat first....you may be suprised how comfotable it is after awhile.....Give it a couple thousand....I can rider longer on my chopper than any other bike I've owned (JAP Bike)..... Softer seats kill your ass quicker.

BG 2004 Chopper - Lucky MF

A year and a half ago a client of mine I had know for 2 years previous said he heard that I rode. When I told him yea, and that I got my hands dirty as well. I'd just rebuilt a 1976 Honda 750-four S.S. I found "in a barn" that had been clean as hell but not started in 10 years.

My client said, "Oh yea... I've got a bike downstairs I picked up new in 2004 that I put 750 miles on it. It's been down here and haven't started since. I tried a few months ago but no deal. It just won't turn over."

I was intrigued.

We went down into the loading docks below his office and he pulls the tarp off of a mint 2004 Big Dog Chopper. It looked like it just came out of the crate. I could not believe my eyes! He said, "Have at it."

4 hours later (and some oil, new gas, cleaned plugs, charged battery, fuel line...) and it tuned right over.

That day happened to be the first night of Harley Davidson's 105th Anniversary, 100 miles north in Milwaukee, WI. He said he already called his broker and put me on the insurance for the weekend as a "potential buyer", and did I want to take the Dog up to the party for the weekend. I said I had no business entertaining the idea of becoming addicted to a machine like that. He said, "No worries. We'll talk when you get back."

He's only seen the BD twice since, on rides he and I have taken way up into Michigan (he's got a Big Bear Chopper that's tits and deserves its own story).

To turn a long story into a wet-dream... I worked it off in trade over 7 months and he handed me the title that day. He said he just wanted to see it kept on the road. That he wanted to see it ridden. Well it sure the hell is that.

So that's my story, and I'm sticking to it. Check the pix attached below. The Chopper got some attention from the girls in the Ms. HD Milwaukee Contest, and about 150,000 other folks that night as well. "Addicted....?" Not too strong a word at all. I was hooked and the main-line was that 101 miles each way from home and back. The rest of the weekend was cut compared to that. The ride up there, that's what did it for me. I never felt anything like it. And I've felt it every time since.

And if you ride in or around Chicago, drop me a line. We ride Archer Avenue to Joliet a few times a year and up into Michigan and WI whenever we can. Most of the time though, it's just LSD between 92nd and Sheridan Rd. And the more, the louder, and the merrier.
