I need help.. my 2007 pitbull has a problem of I believe the connection on the battery becoming loose which causes the bike to just "click" when you try to start it. It has done this one other time and once I got connection tight enough it started. This time it is being stubborn. Any suggestions on how to cure this once and for all. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Add a star washer to help keep it tight.

Make sure the battery is at a full charge. Check it with a multimeter S/B 12.8V or higher. Might as well check charging when ya get it started S/B 13.8 or higher....

Eliminate the Problem!

After melting a terminal off one battery I did this fix:
Drill all the way through the battery terminal and the lead block.
Put a star washer between every connector and between them and the battery. :2thumbs:
Use a stainless bolt all the way through with a nylock nut to hold it all in place. Oh, and a drop of blue locktite, just in case. :D

Haven't had any problem since!

Happy Motoring!

I drilled and tapped the spacer for a set screw. once the terminal is tight I lock it down no issues
