Popping and Choking

I was struggling to live with the popping and choking form my stock exhaust. I figured I would start by adding new pipes Well, I finally put my Vance and Hines Big Radius 2:2 onto my 04 mastiff. When I took the stock exhaust off the the bike, there was a split in the header where the 2 went into 1 (at the weld). Needless to say, I was pissed. I added the new exhaust and it runs like a bat out of hell and no popping or choking. So, if you are having trouble with your stock exhaust, check it!!! I'll post pics soon!!!

Love the V&H Big Radius pipes.
My last bike had a set of HK strait pipes, and these Big Radius pipes have a lot better definitive deep mellow tone, and are loud enough. It makes the bike sound more like a true hot rod, and not a cherry bomb sound lol.

I just got my Mastiff a week ago and I'm running Supertrapp Mean Mothers which I think are too loud and hollow sounding. I'm getting a lot of popping when I let off the throttle. I was considering picking up a set of stock pipes but now I'm not sure that's such good idea.

Any thoughts for me?
